Capt. Darrell Hingle - Angler 252

As a charter boat captain, I need a boat that can handle the demands of offshore fishing one day and tranquil waters of inshore fishing the next. My YAMAHA powered ANGLER 252 does it all. I can be 75 miles offshore catching kingfish one day and in the backwaters of Galveston Bay the next. With her high sides and wide beam she stays high and dry on even the roughest days I care to be out in. On the bay, she is extremely fast, capable of 60+ mph with twin 200 YAMAHA"S pushing her. Clients are always amazed to see such a big boat up against the beach and getting out to wade in thigh deep water chasing redfish and speckled trout. I have been running boats for more than 20 years and can say my YAMAHA powered ANGLER 252 is awesome!

When I'm not busy with charters on my YAMAHA powered ANGLER 252, I'm busy chasing tournament winning kingfish on the Southern Kingfish Assoc. tournament trail in Division 8. I started fishing the S.K.A. tournaments in 1999 and have qualified for the National Championship every year I have fished. TEAM REEL TEEZER depends on the strength and stability of my ANGLER 252 to get us out sometimes as far as 100 miles in a day and back to the scales safely time after time. With her 200 gallon fuel capacity backed by YAMAHA outboard power we are able to reach out and get the monster kings of the Gulf of Mexico.

John - Angler 173F

Last fall I bought an Angler 173 F Limited Edition from my local dealer in upstate NY. I wanted a no nonsense, easy to maintain boat with a good solid ride. I had seen lots of Anglers other areas and knew them to be good boats. Well, I was delighted when I took delivery of my new boat!

The dealer had promised a great fit and finish – he was right, heavy duty hardware even on this little boat. The gel coat was bright and shinny. My local dealer also mentioned a great ride and smart performance, again he was right! The boat was easily trailered to the launch, easy off the drive on trailer (our local launch is quite shallow and this was a big concern) and the boat was very stable when my 230 pounds stepped on the gunwale at the dock.

The 90 hp Yamaha outboard started right up and we backed off the dock with little effort. Once out on the river, the boat quickly came up on plane and proved to be a dry ride as we went through several wakes from passing boats. Very solid feeling, dry, & stable ride. What more could you ask for? Maybe some fish!

All in all I must say that Angler and my local dealer delivered on their promise to give me a great little boat at a very attractive and competitive price. I’d recommend this boat package to anyone wanting an easy to trailer, dry, fuel efficient boat.
